Jake's Hypersonic Update
Saturday, February 14th 2009 @ 9:28 AM
Hi there,
Just a quick update on the video that Jake has on YouTube. He's really chuffed with it, and I'm delighted for him. so far there have been 33 views. That just means that 33 times, someone has clicked on the video to play it.
He's SO excited. he thought that probably just the 4 friends he sent the email to would look at it. He's even had a couple of comments, and someone rated it 4 stars, and another person has subscribed to it.
For those who don't know, the You Tube website can be pretty clever with technology. If you look at someone's video, you have the opportunity to add a comment of your own, at the bottom of the video. You might put a supportive comment, of enter into an ongoing discussion that you might see on the screen - add your 'two bob's worth'. And subscribing means, that if you Subscribe to someone's video channel, each time that person puts another video on You Tube, then you will get an email to let you know that a new one is there. (you can always Unsubscribe).
So now of course Jake is planning his next production! Can't wait to see it.
Oh, if you missed the video, it's on the You Tube site at:
That's it for today - it's now 1:14am - better get some shut-eye.

Jake's Hypersonic Lego

** NOTE: This video is a big file - so depending on your internet plan, it might be best to leave this one, as if your plan is about 200mb per month, this would eat into your allowance.
And because it's so big, I've put it onto the YouTube site, which means it's made smaller.**
Jake has now turned 10 years old. My goodness time flies!
He had a great day - albeit stinking hot day - 43C. We were hoping he could have a Gold Class birthday, but unfortunately all the movies were rated M. So we took Braden and 3 of Jake's mates to Fountain Gate and saw Madagaskar 2. It was a fun movie. Then off to Tunz A Fun where the boys played games, got tokens, got trashy toys and back home.
It was far too hot and windy to go to the beach, so back to air-conditioned comfort and junk food! Well they did have sandwiches and fruit first, but then bring on the sugar!!
Boys had a Mario Kart contest, mucked around as 10 year olds do and had loads of fun.
The money that Jake received from his friend Jack and Aunty Jani and Uncle Craig and voucher from Aunty Di went towards his other savings and he bought the third of his lego Mars Mission series.
This one is called the Hypersonic Aircraft. He made it all in 4 hours.
