Hi there and thanks for visiting, but I'm sorry - we've moved!

We still have our community, for people just like you.

But now we are in a new home.

Please click on this link to find us at our new home:

www.thewebonwheels.com.au

Smart people, who for one reason or another haven't yet learned about computers. You might have always had people do your admin for you, or you've been busy with the most important job in the world - raising your family.

Are we a good fit for you?

Some of you will need a lot of hand-holding. We can do that either here, in our community or (depending where you live) we have our in-home service.

Some members need just a bit of guidance and support. Other people are members so that they can be part of a safe, happy community.

We can show you how the internet can open up a whole new world of possibilities. Imagine being able to:

  •  see and talk to loved ones, no matter where they are in the world, (when was the last time you saw your grandchildren in the UK?)
With a little video camera (called a webcam) that’s either built into or added onto your computer, you can see and hear your loved one, right in front of you, on your computer screen. Using companies like Skype, or even easier when you’re a member of our community,  just click on a button to invite your friend, they accept your invitation – and you  SEE EACH OTHER!
  • research your favourite subject and impress your friends at the next quiz night
For any subject you can think of,there is bound to be information on the Internet. Research to your heart’s content on any subject you want, and at any time you want. No need to get to the library during opening times, just click on the world’s largest library – The Internet!  Find any topic and see, hear, learn and print your information.
  • keep independent by doing your own shopping online.
You can buy presents for loved ones, arrange to have them shipped direct to them, or to yourself.  Have your groceries delivered right to your door. (saves a lot of time and great to do when the weather is awful!). And no more nasty ‘car park dents’ on your car.
  • use the power of technology and the internet to actually see where you hope to visit.  (maybe the UK to visit the grandchildren)
Use Google Earth to fly through a canyon,  take a virtual tour inside a hotel of your choice and actually see what the rooms look like. Find all the information on a river cruise, find out the weather conditions or security issues in certain regions. You can find out the best flights for you and book your tickets and accommodation. See reviews and chat with people who’ve travelled to your area of interest.
  • use our book to get a plain English translation of technical terms.
Isn’t it annoying when you want to do something and you’re presented with a word or phrase that makes absolutely no sense at all? Our book will help you untangle all those nasty terms so you know what on that computer jargon means. (book to be launched late 2009)
  • don't be left stranded after you've learned.
When you've have your personal in-home computer coaching, or you've had lessons elsewhere, you won't be deserted.  By becoming a member of our online group you will have our support - by email or phone, as well have having tips and hints, and our newsletters delivered to your Inbox to keep learning and be inspired, and to connect with other people who have their technology L plates on!

Which level is right for you?

In a nutshell, the Bronze level has a ittle contact with us - the newsletter and occasional messages.

The Silver level has a bit more contact from us, and allows access to most sections of our site.

The Gold level has access to everything we have to offer, as well as unlimited email support and a half hour one-on-one session with me every month.

The Gold level is ideal if you're in the 'acute stage' You may have a new computer, and haven't got a clue how all the bits work! Then join as a Gold member, pay for loads of support, then as you become more skilled and confident, drop back to the Silver if you like. You just need to send me a message and I'll fix things for you.

Once you've become a member, then I can help you solve your individual computer - or even other technology question.

And even if you're not quite ready to join, please sign up for the free newsletter (the box is on the right), you'll have tips and hints delivered right to your inbox!

About Access to our Website

If you're a visitor, you'll be able to explore our site, but this site is for our members, so most of the information won't be accessible.

When you or a friend become a member, you'll have our support and access to our our site.

Oh, and if you're worried about giving credit card details over the internet, or you don't even have a credit card, just let me know and we can easily make other arrangements.

If you'd like to know more details of what you get in the different membership levels or indeed if you have any questions, please let me know. You can email me:  info@thewebonwheels.com.au or phone me - in Australia  (03) 9787 7500.

  See you soon,

 warmly,

Viv
